These profiles were made when we were asked to come up with some designs and finishes for the Andrew Wyeth painting, "Night Hauling." We worked with the Wyeth estate and the museum which owns the painting to narrow down our focus. We are fortunate to have the Farnsworth Museum of Art in Rockland as a constant source for inspiration as they always have Andrew Wyeth's work on display. We made these samples with a hand plane and carving tools. The cove shape on the sight edge was hand carved. From front to back the finishes are in burnished 12 karat white gold leaf, burnished 23 karat gold leaf, and burnished silver leaf
